Hi,
So I don't like the course I'm doing and don't know what else to do, so I've decided to take a gap year.
I have withdrawn from all my units and now I don't know what to do? I haven't filled out the deferring your offer form as I don't really want to do this course again. So how do I completely 'drop out' so that I can apply for another course through UAC later this year?
Thanks.

All universities should have a student centre, so probably your best option would be to approach them and say something like how to defer.

Withdrawing From Session 1 Unit(s)
The effect of your withdrawal from a Session 1 unit will depend on when you formally withdraw from the unit. If you withdraw from a Session 1 unit:

On or before 31 March - Students will be regarded as 'early withdrawn'. (No mark will be recorded against the unit in Official Transcripts)
After 31 March but No Later Than 28 April - Students will be regarded as 'Withdrawn' (W). Students will remain financially liable unless they apply and are found to have withdrawn under special circumstances. More Information
After 28 April - Students will be regarded as 'Fail Withdrawn' (FW). Students who apply and are found to have withdrawn because of Unavoidable Disruption may be awarded a 'Withdrawn' (W) Grade. More Information
Students will remain financially liable unless they apply and are found to have withdrawn under special circumstances. More Information

Honesty I'd just call student services and ask them.
