Hey, I am in Year 11 and I am wondering about some things of subjects next year
I am doing;
Legal Studies
Advanced English
Modern History
General Maths
Biology
Society and Culture
I am thinking of next year, to drop Society and Culture and take up History Extension, and hopefully English Extension 1. I love both of these subjects and really kicking myself for not doing the extension 1 course of Preliminary English, so I could do Extension 2 next year.
What is your advice with these subjects? What do you suggest?
I am asking because I don't want to have a mental breakdown next year.
Any advice?

Definitely, drop Society & Culture. In that case you will only need to take up any subjects then, as you will have 10 units. But taking up both EE1 and History Extension. then consider dropping 2 units a bit later, once you know you can handle both HEX and EE1.

First of all, EE1 is a yr 11 and 12 course, you can't just pick it up yr 12.

Yep I agree with this, unfortunately it is extremely unlikely you will be able to pick up English Extension one in year 12 because you would need to demonstrate somehow you have completed the preliminary prerequisites for prelim course.

I agree with the others, it would be pretty difficult to pick up 3U english at the start of year 12. I'd encourage you to drop Society & Culture, given that you already want to drop it, and plus it's not fantastic in terms of scaling

@OP Who told you that you could do EX1 HSC without having done EX1 prelim?

HSX - Preferably drop SOC for it. Handling a lot of major works can be hard.

I did not know about anything with Extension. My school wasn't the greatest at explaining the system.
Sorry for the error
Thanks for the advice though
