This thread makes me feel better. There are people even worse than me.

Ahh well, I spent almost all day today doing History Extension. So now I actually have an idea about the areas of debate in my case study. :sun:

my teacher never gave us two historians who have debated ie elton v carr.
all we have is:
tuchman, vincent, becker, jenkins, bury, marx, herodotus, gibbon
none of which directly represent the clash between modernism and post modernism :( im so screwed, thats all the band 4 responses talk about!

AND she never clearly defined what areas of debate we are doing for our case study. argh, she screwed us over! :burn:

just hoping i can make it work....

Incredibly boring lol. I really really hope its question on how history is constructed by historians. Probably going to do 5-6 historians in depth.

And pretty much fucked for case study. Spain and decline of the Aztecs, I swear we're the only school who does it.
:O  !

MY SCHOOL DOES AZTECS TOO!

lol my teacher said its only us and i think 1-2 other schools.

i love aztecs

That is fucking terrible! Well, the historiography thing isn't...you can do well without analysing the debate between two historians, a lot of exemplar responses show that. But with the case study, yeah, you should learn what areas of debate you are doing. We only learnt two I think. But now I'm confused about it. We got a lot of conflictng/mixed messages! You'll do fine.

Hmm what does the Hist. Ext. paper look like? What's this about remembering historians? Do they ask a question from the readings booklet? Can they ask about any reading or do you choose what one to write about?

Well kids, however we went, History Extension HSC marking ends tomorrow.

Which I suppose means that our fates are all more or less decided by then (historically speaking anyway).
