How are you going to study for the HSC exams?

by doing HSC past papers? How many? For sciences and social sciences theres only about 10 (because of syllabus changes) so are people going to use trial papers to prepare for the hsc?

Past papers = best resources to have.

They let you know where you're at, so you can consolidate on the stuff you don't know.

yea seriously dont bother with past papers,

learn the syllabus if you do that then you will have no problem anyway

far easier to study syllabus than do practise papers, they take to much time and dont leave room for study.

Lol, I'm kind of hoping you don't do math...From 1970 onwards = 38 years of past papers...not 70 :p
It can be over 38 if you count everything. School trial papers, HSC exams, etc.

problem with just memorising the syllabus is that you don't know how to apply the stuff in it. That's why past papers are good, coz you learn how to use what you know

Also, if you just memorise the syllabus, you end up failing, like I'm going to...

study past papers
the success one books are pretty good, i got one for maths 2U and 3U and bio

learn everything on the syllabuses
ensures that you wont get any surprises in the actual exams

test myself
writing/typing cards with questions and then answers on the back (it also doubles up as quick info cards)

Goodluck =)

i'll be downloading notes off this site, and also reading revision guides for the next 5 weeks to get all the info in my head. Then after that I'll probably start with past papers.

It all depends on the subjects. math you should do past papers while theory based one usually memorise and try to improve on the way you structure your answers.

LOL glow your sig is funny. Didnt think edward is this scary.

Yeah, past paper for math. But know your work before you jump into the past papers. Other subjects require memorising and then you can do a few past papers for practice.
Nah, i tend to do past papers and if i fail a questionn, review that topic.

saves so much time reviewing shit i probably already know.

pretty much for some subjects such as biology and legal studies and ancient history i am just making yet another dot comprehensive summary for all topics sort of thing.
For english just continually writing out creative writing piece and module essays and responses to past paper uestions and handing in to teacher to mark until they are perfect
maths do past papers make my own formula sheet with explaination of each formula
physics combination of dot point summaries and past papers

and when i am about 2 weeks out do past papers for all and re-read notes constantly
