Heres some info from UAC regarding the Educational Access Scheme;
Educational Access Schemes (EAS)
Most institutions have Educational Access Schemes (EAS) for applicants who have experienced long-term educational disadvantage.
If you think you are eligible, you should submit an EAS application to UAC, in addition to your UAC application. You can only submit one EAS application to UAC.
Follow these steps:
Step 1: Check the
institution entries to find out which institutions offer an Educational Access Scheme. Different schemes have different eligibility/availability criteria.
Step 2: Download a copy of the
EAS Booklet and
EAS application form. You can download extra copies of the
Applicant's statement and Educational impact statement if you need to.
Step 3: If you have any questions, call UAC on (02) 9752 0200.
Step 4: Submit your on-time EAS application to UAC no later than Tuesday 30 September 2008. Late applications through UAC will be accepted until Friday 28 November 2008. Some institutions allow late direct applications after the UAC closing date; others do not.
