Theoretically speaking, for the best subject combo, you'd want:
Extension 2 English (Only the best two units of these 'must' count, so EEX1 and EEX2 would be the best scaling choice for English), Classical Greek Extension, Latin Extension and 4U Mathematics.

A better question would've been :
If you did get 99+, describe how hard it was on you personally to achieve it. Ie, what did you have to give up, etc.

Everyone always forgets that Music 2 scales just as good as physics/chem.
And has less of a candidature.

And is impossibly harder because people that are musically talented and have been playing since they were mere babies dominate this subject.

*puts up hand*

you're only right to an extent. you can choose your elective as musicology or composition rather than performance and rely on your english/aural skills. dude, the music freaks like me only dominate the performance side of things.

does it really seem all that intimidating?

Oh really, did not know that. Yes it does seem intimidating :)
Still, I'd imagine a fair amount of musical talent and experience would be needed for composition and I have no idea what musicology is.

Also, @ your putting up hand gesture.

Performance for me. I chose music to play and to listen (aural), not to compose a great deal and talk XD lol.

Haha. Musicology is the theoretical study of music. Instead of playing or singing you write an essay based on a argument that has something to do with music.

Last year a guy did 'The music of Nazi Germany influenced the actions of Hitler' or something like that. Another girl did 'Contemporary Pop music is the recycling of Baroque ideologies' or something weird like that. So, yeah.

Eh, us music freaks should stand proud and tall. Although i guess i'm not one of the worst. You see alllooooot of strange music students out there.

Yeah, for some courses that scale extremely well, the levels of effort may not be proportional... for certain people.
