I got in the top 50% in my whole cohort. I'm in community stream so I need to top 30 in the whole stream. 25% of the selective stream is braindead so I bet a few got a C. so in community stream, I likely got in the top 10%. am I getting going to get cooked (I'm rumoured to be in the 2nd highest community class)

Update

I got in woohoooooo

well, for us afc, how it worked was if ur in the top 10 of ur cohort, ur guaranteed it, max would be 25 in a class so... yh it rlly depends on ur school

Well done
Its a mirracle fr considering I got an 11/25 on a topic test (Ahem, linear equations)
I revised it so not too much of a concern now but i got it cuz i forgot whether x comes first or y in the coordinates

Ik u already did get in but for me (before i moved selective) i was at the bottom 3 school in the state (now bottom 30 - but i moved so whatever) n i got 90%+ in every single assessment in yr 8 so i got into 5.3 in yr 9

how were ur grades in yr 8 for u not to be considered 5.3 to being with?

at my school (partially selective) the community stream r not allowed to do 5.3 even if they r taking 100% in their assessments but then in yr 11 they can pick up adv if they pass an entry exam - for selective ur automatically 5.3 but u have to get 50%+ for adv in yr 11 n 90%+ for ext

lol why is the school making 5.3 exclusive? literally so stupid. Are all the math teachers in this school stupid so only a few teachers can teach 5.3? 5.3 is literally basic math 💀

I mean top 25% of community stream had a chance, It was a B I got
I guess the curve exists cuz in my report, I got a B for linear equations
