i screwed up my trials and my predicted atar dropped from a 95.05 to a 94.2....
tho weird thing is that sum of my ranks actually improved after trials, and i know that predicted atar is based on marks not ranks, but since ranks are only thing that matter i still dont rlly know what to make of that, so if anyone could help me understand what it means i would be very gratefullllll

but yea basically i want to get into wsu medicine, my ucat is pretty high, 800 with wsu formula (tbh i screwed up trials because i was studying for ucat) so i just rlly rlly need a 95.5 to hit their threshold, aiming for 96 to be safe

but from my predicted atar, apparently my scaled internal results for physics and chemistry are around 79, for maths ext 2 and 1 im getting around 81 and for eng adv im getting 89

i go to a top 5 selective school

duz anyone know specifically what raw marks i might need in the hsc to get a 96?

and possibly what the mark spread generally is for a top 5 selective school for my subjects?

also on another topic i applied as gws for wsu because the threshold is only 93.5 for gws applicants
only thing is ive had a gws address for 3 years not 5, which is what is required
does anyone know if there's any way for me to know if they will accept me as a gws applicant? apparently they don't really check but i feel like i cant count on this working out just yet.

thanks soo muchhhh

tbh as long as your ranks are good (because your internal marks are not an accurate prediction of how you'll do in the hsc exams) you should be fine seeing as you're at a top 5 school (to be safe compare your ranks with the b6 list on hscninja) and for wsu gws the criteria is 5 years so you won't be considered for gws as you haven't met that criteria^^

tbh my ranks r pretty bad for everything except english and maths e1, unless my cohort does really well i don't think i can get higher than high band 5 for physics and chemistry
ok but abt the gws criteria, i prolly sound rlly despicable but how exactly would they know. apparently audits are very rare.

damnn then that may be an issue but if you can get a high b5 for chem phys and then an e4 in mx2 you're set for at least a 95

wait but check hscninja for how many b6 and then search up your schools annual report that'll show you the average mark for previous cohorts in the hsc and you can use that to get a rough estimate of what you could get^^

e2 scaling is cracked blud, i heard a kid who got 40% in his exam got a 99 atar contribution.
yeah its actually insane bro mx2 is like an atar clutch 😭😭 the only concern for op wld be their other subjects dragging them down but they seem pre set

Why are you stressing over predictive atar? If you have time to stress, you should spend it on doing more past papers instead
