La Valse d'Amelie - Yann Tiersen
I'm only playing three songs. I've chosen one of them, and I have to perform in 4 days. It's so awesome :mad1:
I'm thinking Sunflower Slow Drag by Joplin and Pachabel's Canon, though.
Thanks. Hope you went alright.ceels said:how funny! im doing La Valse D'Amelie on piano as well! such a nice song. weird though i didnt think anyone else would do it, the end is tricky hey, i hope i dont stuff it up! mine is tomorrow :S good luck with yours, hope we dont have the same markers! haha
You do not directly gain any marks for performing your pieces from memory. Wether or not you perform with music makes no difference to the marker.sparkerasp said:Hey people,
I have a question that's puzzling me. I play classical piano (AMEB, etc) and I'm (obviously) playing piano for my HSC next month. Now to the question.
According to my piano teacher who teaches at other schools, you DON'T get extra marks for memory (ie. you memorise all the pieces you're doing ... which is what I have done). BUT according to my music teacher at school, you DO get extra marks for memory work.
Which is it?
I've gotten almost full marks with my Trial performances (15/15s and 18-19/20) but I'd just like to get this controversial topic sorted. Thanks
I'm doing Music 2 BTW.
