Hi all

I am thinking of applying for HSC Provisions because I am hearing impaired (I am totally deaf in one ear, and I suspect my other ear is degrading too)

Will it appear on any of my HSC reports and certificates?

I don't want it to, seeing as it may affect future opportunities, especially employment and I don't want it to appear as if I'm "special"

Just wondering

Thanks

I don't think it will really be that effective but who knows

I missed hearing about achange to a paper in a Commerce exam back in year 10 because I didn't hear the teacher

and also I have a listening exam for English coming up

ohh but u are special lol

hearing wouldnt affect any of your tests, they would just need to make sure a supervision gives you a signal when to start and stop writting

also, provisions dont show up on your certificates, once the exams are over no one will know you did them with special provisions, similarly, hsc markers will not know that you had provisions when they mark your exams

If you have a hearing impairment then apply as you will be able to ensure that you do hear all instructions.
