my uai is not enough to get me into the course i want!!!!!!
so not enough
but i don't want to drop 10 uais to do the same course in unsw............
hey, is there any chance that the uai for accepting courses would be lower than last years?
yeh there is a chance u'll get into the course u want coz the uais for each course are determined by supply and demand, so it will then depend on how many vacancies and how many apply.
also, there's always 2nd round offers where some uai's may drop.
the B Arts@syd jumped from 70 to 80.05 was cause the dean of the art faculty wanted it's Art course 2 be higher than that of UNSW cause it's Art was higher than the 70 of Usyd also that increase was reported in the papers in januray this year.
You could always try and get into a course thats similar then see if it's possible to transfer into the course you wanted after a year or something...theres usually a way in through the backdoor.
but there are some courses that never drops
for example...commerce...
and commerce in sydney is climbing steadily.
which really worries me coz i fear that i might not get in...
oh god... this is bad
i want to do engineering/commerce in sydney........
arrrrrhhhh....
damn......
some course cut-offs are also determined by the uni rather than the supply and demand. Just look at university of canberra's cut-offs in the uac book. a lot of them are the same (73.00, 80.00) and most of the cut-offs didnt rise from the year before
true true
but look at software engineering in sydney uni, dropped 7 ranks in one year!
in creadible....
just want that to happen to my course, which is possible.
the cutoff is the lowest UAI they took in theyr so if ppl who got UAIs of 60 applied for arts which was 90 the yr b4 then the new cutoff will be 60. it depends who applies and the quality of those applicants.
