Construction is engineering during the construction process like the trucks that should be used or the noise from the construction, geotechnical is looking at stuff under the ground like foundations and sub grades for pavements, structural is looking at forces in beams and other things required to keep a structure staying up.

They all have good job prospects but geotechnical is the highest paying.

It is harder to get a job as an international student because of issues with visas and working rights and stuff.
