School ranking is irrelevant to the atar

The strength of your cohort and your position in your cohort (i.e. your rank and the relative gaps between people) are the factors which are important for internal marks.

School ranks are irrelevant. They do not have a role in determining your ATAR.

However, when you want an estimate from people on BOS, school rank gives them an indication of cohort strengths in general, b6's etc etc.
