Marcus greets Susan and Alan!

Edit: Evan would also like to inform Marcus that there is a greek/welsh superhero
Marcus is interested in this Greek/Welsh superhero, and hopes for further explanation from Evan when he returns.

Lynn really cannot guarentee if she can make it on Thursday, as her mother is not too keen on the idea ("But we arrive at 6:30 in the morning... even if we only get home at 10 or 11, surely I can go out after that?!" she cries). The internet connection at her cousin's place is really very temperamental and keeps signing her in and out of msn - even when she's not there! As thus, Lynn cannot be sure how efficient communication will be over the next few days, but so long as someone can sms the finalised details to her (Lynn's - dead - phone is at home, on her desk) then she will make sure she recharges her phone as soon as she gets home, and if all systems truly are go (in Katie's words) then Lynn will do her absolute best to crash an IPR get-together, even if she is really really really "fashionably" late.

EDIT: Lynn greets Marcus. She also wishes that the computer she is trying to use would be a little bit more lenient with her. She suspects it is having fun whilst randomly opening and closing windows...

Marcus advises Lynn not to worry about something which should be fun and relaxing. If Lynn arrives at any time, Marcus will be happy - and if she can't come, then Marcus thinks that there is always the oppurtunity for another get-together.

Lynn is no longer worrying about Thursday :)

Lynn is worrying about her vocal range. She just came across an article that stated that mezzos can reach up to a high E6 or something - isn't that in the Soprano range?! (Lynn is - yet again - trying to figure out her range)

Marcus thinks that the best way to hit any note properly is to relax the voice - but Marcus has yet to hear Lynn sing, so he cannot comment about her range. He would very much like to hear Lynn sing at the next get-together, and he promises that he too will sing the A.G poems for which he has been writing melodies.

HELLO!!
Susan should know by now that Evan would not mock Gaia( though she is depraved, I mean come on a millenia old woman invites a group of teens to live with her alone on an island) Evan instead made a joke which in retospect was in bad taste about anti's avatar a character who is known by a large no. of X-men fans as the Frostitute for many reasons which he will for brevity's sake not go into .
Evan would like to inform Marcus that this superhero is way cool(for a superhero) as she is a mentat like in Dune and she also has photographic recall through all her senses(the last human in real life to have this went clinically insane when he was around our age) and in addition she touts more guns than Trinity. This superhero was trained to be spy from the age of 14 and stuck to her duty till she was 30 and become an official superhero she also despises Emma Frost aka the Frostitute and her name is Sage
Evan thinks Justin should not worry about his redundancy as he still is a nice greek boy

Ooh, Marcus likes this superhero - she is a Graeco-Celt like him, with some pretty interesting powers. Marcus wonders what story Sage is from.

Lynn is completely lost at Kami's post. However -

BREAKTHROUGH! Thanks to http://www.library.yale.edu/cataloging/music/vocalrg.htm Lynn has discovered that she is a Soprano/Mezzo-Soprano, although vastly more comfortable in the mezzo range (Lynn has been hitting G's recently - thank you Josh Groban - and can hit but not actually sing the A note... yet!)

Lynn says that if Marcus sings "Remember" with her (her current favourite song) then she will sing, and she is very interesting in hearing Marcus' songs.

Sage is from Schism, Intifada, God Loves & Man Kills by Chris Claremont as well as a guest appearance in Grant Morrison's Murder in the Mansion.
Which are all graphic novels in the X-men range from a time (2 years ago) that Marvl was making quality material(now they make rubbish)

Evan would sing along too but whenever he does he is reminded that his voice does not do any song justice.

Lynn will start practicing now then, in an attempt to improve the quality of her voice (so that it is not too grating in comparison to Marcus' rich tonal quality).

Lynn also wonders whether Marcus has started singing lessons yet, or if it is very soon? She is also impressed by Evan's wider reading. Lynn's only claim to comic-book-reading-fame are the Cathy and Garfield cartoons found in the newspaper, as well as her cousin's Archie comics she found this morning...

Evan remarks that Lynn should not be too impressed as apart from a minute handful of titles comics are absolute rubbish. An example being that Marvel comics hired a writer away from *Penthouse* in the hopes that he could introduce some *class* into their comics instead they got stories about nymphomaniac school nurses and the church taking over the world with exploding wafers.

Penthouse... class... they go together how? :p

Lynn admits that the concept of exploding wafers sounds amusing.

Evan says that there is much worse including a 30 year old man shagging a 16 year old girl in front of her mother deliberately. Evan thanks all dieties that he jumped ship before he had to read that occurence.

Justin likes wafers, although he is wary of them since he has seen Monty Python's The Meaning of Life a number of times.
