Lynn is very much looking forward to her formal - Nov 16th, not only because she gets to dress up and "pretty up" (as girls love to do) but at midnight, she officially turns 18

It will be a couple of years before Marcus is old enough to have pub brawls. .

Marcus is only joking. He certainly doesn't intend to have pub brawls, or go near pubs for that matter. He finds them quite distasteful.

Lynn wonders how well Marcus knows Numerology.

Lynn tells Marcus that pub brawls are really not that interesting, all that happens is that people get hurt and glass gets broken. However she does remind herself that she doesn't drink, so she imagines the novelty of being drunk is lost on her.

Lynn remembers that the year she turned 16 was one of the best years of her life for unknown reason. She remarks that Marcus is very mature for his age.

Marcus can be both mature and immature. Marcus is mature because he knows that the situations in his life are his choice. He can be immature when he ignores what his heart tells him. Marcus believes that being childlike, not childish, is great.

Thomas remembers an old Bugs Bunny cartoon in which Yosemite Sam says, 'If you can't beat 'em... Join 'em.' He would very much like to adopt this attitude.
Thomas sighs and wonders if perhaps he is the only 18year old here? How old he feels. On the other hand, he remembers that exams are now over and has joined Lynn in gaining is love for reading once more. Tim Winton too!
Thomas has just watched White Collar Blue on TV and would like to announce to the forum that he loves Australian Film and Television. Secret Life, All Saints, Blue Heelers, One Perfect Day, Two Hands, Gettin' Square, SeaChange, Always Greener - it's all good!
