Hey guys,
Im from Willoughby Girls and we started the HSC course at the start of term 4-but i wasn't there for the first week...enjoying looong holidays. :)

The seminars today we pretty useful I thought. The first woman was a bit disappointing and rather dull but the rest of it was good...ext 2 was basically the syllabus recapped through powerpoint....but it was worthwhile.

What did everyone else think?

india is confused as to how this thread, as irrelevant as it already is, has come to be about seminars for current yr 12 students.

will it please return to the incoherant ramblings of post yr 12 students who should be studying for the ancient history exam they shall be failing tomorrow? it is so very much more entertaining than xerxes and the delian league.

india needs to study.

but this is much more constructive...

Susan advises the new Extension 2 English people that she felt that every seminar she attended over the course of the year was merely the syllabus in powerpoint except for Music.

Susan would also like to inform the new Extension 2 students that the use of third person in this thread is the result of the arduous HSC exams and would like to inform them that that is what they can look foward too

Susan laughs evilly at scaring the n00bs

Lynn is suprised and comforted by the fact that so many people are not looking forward to tommorrow's ancient exam.

She feels India's pain, and would like to take the opportunity to tell her that she has a very beautiful name.

She would also like to spread the love - but tummy aches (possibly due to over-comfort-eating) make this somewhat difficult.

india thanks lynn for her kind words, but must disagree. what parent would name thier child after the poorest third world counrty in the world? tis indeed a form of child abuse.

by the way, does anyone happen to know any useful information about the spartan economy? seems india knows nothing about it after studying it for a year.

oh woe is most certainly india, if she has not learnt these things now she never will. which she doesnt care all that much about.

she does, however, wish there was not a 3 hour exam on them tomorrow.

Lynn recommends that India see HSC online site.

Lynn also wonders what word "economy" refers to and begins to feel very, very worried.

Marcus says hello. He believes he screwed up his Studies of Religion test. But he doesn't care anymore. He is just glad that it is over. He is also happy about his progress with Old Kingdom Egypt, but realises he still has a lot to do for Sparta and Persia.

Lynn realises that she too has much to do for Sparta. For example, she has absolutely no sources for question E on Sparta except for "Sparta was a mixed constitution" - Plutarch and "We do not ask how many there are, but where they are" - King Agis (regarding attitudes towards death/religion/fighting).

She also has yet to actually STUDY Sparta in the false? hope that she can revise it all tommorrow morning.

Lynn begins to stress out MAJORLY and wonders whether going to sleep now and waking up REALLLLLYYYY early would be better than staying up late.

Justin would make no useful suggestion, as he is biased towards just giving up.

Lynn loves Justin dearly but is not sure exactly how helpful his suggestion is in her current situation. She is however, taking it on board as a valid suggestion.

EDIT: Lynn has re-read Justin's post and notes that he has not, in fact, made any suggestion. She takes back her comments and decides to go to bed by 10pm and wake up reeeaaaallllyyyy eeeaaarrrrlllyyy

Justin states, however, that in spite of his determination to fail with style, he did read over a couple of essays and his Trial paper, which included the introduction of his fake historian, T. Simons.

Marcus is struck by laughter and pity at Justin's Play School CD, believing this to be a new low of human degradation.

Lynn laughs at Justin's fake historian and wonders if she can have an autograph. And yes, Lynn would very much like Marcus's "Mixed Constitution" notes, even though the words sound like some sort of half-finished cake mixture or weird cocktail.

Lynn is also struck by high positive correlation of EE2 students also doing ancient history. She wonders whether it is simply a coincidence.

Justin puffs up defensively at Marcus' mockery, as there are songs he genuinely enjoys on that CD.
