I did India and all the information I found contradicted each other so I ended up not studying India at all...
however, you could try sites like www.thehindu.com or other indian economics sites...the latest stats for the indian lorenz curve is 37.8 (1997) from

(Speaking in general terms) In an essay for example, knowing a particular economy's lorenz curve is pointless, as most curves are quintessentially the same (well to the extent that differences are hard to reflect accurately while drawing a graph in exam conditions etc)
The Geni co-efficent is the important thing to know, as it, i find, is much more effective at highlighting the extent of inequality in a succinct manner.
