Hey hey, first time poster here...

I am to prepare 2 pages of notes to my class about the inequality in the distribution of income. I have to also include: "disadvantaged groups" and "relative poverty"

My question is
1) Who are the disadvantaged groups? Why are they disadvantaged?
2) Relative poverty? (i dont get what this means)

1) The disadvantaged groups are those with low skills, because in times of economic growth, they cannot benefit as there is only derived demand for labour that is skilled and productive.
2) relative poverty refers to the gap between the rich and the poor, in contrast to absolute poverty which is just the people who are struggling just to make a living.

I hope this is helpful ^^

Hey, sorry to bother you guys again...

The 2nd part of my task is that i have to teach and lead my Yr11 Eco class about my chosen topic (Inequality in the Distribution of Income)

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of what i could give the class to do...simple things like crossword puzzles :p

I was thinking along the lines of roleplay of some sort...since its about inequality in income distribution

I could give each of them a character...eg 45yr old female, 4 kids, divorced...$30k a year, etc

and try to build up on that...unfortunately, i dont what to really do after i give them characters....
