I was thinking of studying in the US for 2010. Was wondering if anyone had advice on the international student loans.. Are they bad and is it better to try for a scholarship or does anyone know any good ones?
There's the OS-HELP loan available for HECS students studying abroad.
It's a one-off interest loan that adds on top of your HECS and you pay back the same way as HECS.
"OS-HELP is not available to students undertaking their whole course of study overseas."
I meant international loans for studying abroad the whole time.. Not for student exchange. Which OS-help seems to be.
Oh, in that case I'm not sure. But you can contact the US embassy in Aust or your desired US university regarding on their scholarships and requirements for international students?
