i have to create a powerpoint presentation on the social and ethical issues on the internet ...
but still couldn't find any info on the internet privacy, security, accuracy of data and the negative impact on society...
does any one have any information/sites on these??

I can tell u abt data accuracy that its hard to determine who is responsible 4 it and the best way to check if data is accurate is to check the source and cross reference with books and othersites...LOok up social and ethical issues in IPT textbooks..they should help Hope i helped

Internet ethics

There is volumes of info about this stuff in textbooks and on Internet
Privacy consider
1) personal details appearing on internet without your consent (including the issue of that nasty ex B/f who sets yr home phone number as a topic in a chat channel inferring its a number to ring for a "good" time)
2) digital video cameras (footage taken whilst you are walking down the street)
3) cookies - information placed on yr system by websites allowing companies to trace your internet movement
4) email whose mailing list are you on ? and because of them, whoelse knows yr email address
Security consider
1) hackers and associated software trojans/viruses
2) need for firewalls,passwords, anti virus, encryption
3) levels of access
