Julius Sumner Miller was a professor who was keen on promoting sciences in lik everyday life esp to high school kids.. thats why dr karl's got his book range.. JSM had his own TV show.. use to play on TV1 on foxtel.. and available on the ABCTV website

lolz howard florey the man who first utilised penicillin as an antibiotic.. did his bachelors in adel.. but then spent the remainder of his life in melb... so it doesnt seem to matter where ppl end up.. they start in small places..

Elitist? Yes it is.

And no, we'll never see the end of elitists high schools while the GPS kids live, just the end of FREE elite schools. [cry]

yayNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I GOT AN INTERVIEW FOR NEWCASTLE!!!!!!!!! HOW COOL!!!!!!!!! hehehe

And in answer to an earlier question, about whether I'm in yr 12 or at uni, I'm neither - doing the GAP year and being a very BORING medical receptionist. lol

Although tonight I got to watch a draining of an infected toe. That was fairly cool. Go blood!!! hehehe

Thanks heaps! I'm rather stoked as you can imagine.

I don't often get to follow the doctors around - I'd love to spend all day in the treatment room or hang around in one of the doctors' rooms but unfortunately a) I have work to do and b) it's not overly fair on the patients to have a receptionist hanging around while they're being stitched or whatever else. Shame that, but hey.

Haha, the anatomy in PBL comment burns because (judging by the recent reports) it's true...

Let's hope they fix that up a bit soon.

5555 posts!

Only Newcastle. I applied to UNCLE, JCU, UWA, UTas, UMelb. The last two don't conduct interviews, and the other two haven't sent offers yet.

How was your exam today?
