hey, just wondering if anyone could give a few helpful hints on interview techniques or whateva for scholarships at uni?

Be calm and tell the truth....

1) Did you go see your careers advisor @ school? She'd help a lot.
2) Prepare for the obvious questions (why do you want to do... etc.), and try to be relaxed. Tell yourself (silently) you're not in it for the money, but to help your education.
3) Which scholarships? I better not tell you too much if you got shortlisted with me .

(right now, engineering scholarship @ usyd)

Talk to people who do that degree and see what they like about it. If you know people who have the scholarship, even better.

Usual interview stuff applies, of course Be polite, think before you speak, and who cares what the other candidates are like, you're better than them.

they can usually tell if you lie by your eye movements

if your eye quickly flicks up to the left, it means you are remembering a fact

but if it flicks to the right it means you are using your imagination, ie lying..

most people do it and they dont even realise cos its so quick...

That's not quite right... I've inspected some people, over it. This rule doesn't apply to everyone, and it's unreliable once the person in question figures out how to not do it... (It's probably still used to scare people into telling the truth).

I tell you now, that in a movie that details that 'test' it's LEFT for lies

turn purple....

if you're lying, only trained professionals can tell

Yeah me too.. @ 1:30pm

Only problem is right now I'm drunk as a skunk... my cousin keeps pouring me butterscotch schnapps/banana liqueur shots. I've had about 15 so far. I'll be dead @ my interview

Shit that took me about 10 minutes to write.

I've got a shitoad of tips but I ain't sharing... competition is cruel, ain't it.

I went out bought a shirt, tie & belt from Lowes in Penrith today... I got some shoes from Payless Shoes and wearing my old microfibre pants from my year 10 formal. LoL!

I'm such a housey. Nah it's just I need it quick and I just wanna buy something cheap cuz I'll prolly never wear it again after my BIT and BEng interviews.

So who else is @ 1:30? I'll meet ya or sumthin...
