I am in my second year. I said that on my application form, so either jpmorgan overlooked or they don't really care. LOL

I got it for operation though, anyone heard anything from finance division?
why did you apply for ops??? anything is better than ops.

yeah ops sucks balls- its back office. u usually apply for operations if u can't get anything else in an ib, but if ur cv and ur general int and other skills were good enough i'd have applied anywhere else :p

I notice that many of the firms only want penultimate students. I was wondering whether this is an absolute requirement or a preference, does anybody know?
strong preference. though I know ppl who go in earlier

Im lost. :/

How the hell can you 'practice' for that? Working out angles between a clocks hands are standard types of questions for IB recruitment?
Macq seems to be the only one who asks.

For those who've got an interivew, could i ask when did you apply?

I applied on the 12th (so saturday), so would you say i should be sad that I havn't recieved any replies yet?

Ps. Do they reply w/ rejection letters or let u wait until the grass grows green?
also, would you say that my chances are reduced because of applying late?

pss. is anyone going to the JPM trading places ceremony?

Thanks

Macq hasn't started calling anyone yet (from what I've been told), the applications only closed today.
As for applying "late"; A friend of mine applied 30 mins before close of applications last year and got a call the next day for 1st round interview, so as far as i know, Macq just does it randomly.
Other banks do interviews/offers on a rolling basis though.

what kind of WAM's did you guys that got callbacks have. Is 74 competitive at all?
its not high for an ib, but its not low enough to get culled immediately. if u have a decent cv, u'll have a shot at getting an int
