Christ, I'm studying for IPT now and it's hurting me...it's such an awful subject. Kill me please. The worst part is, most of the stuff in the exam we covered in one week cos our teacher realised we were behind on the important stuff...so I have to remember all the chart symbols....I hate IPT.

Did my exam on Wednesday and I think it went OK. I passed for sure, but I guessed far too many questions by making them up.

How do optical storage mediums physically show digital data as binary code?

The CD-ROM spins really, really, really fast allowing the disk to throw tiny little 1's and 0's at it in order for the computer to read the disk physically show data digital how do storage optical mediums binary as code.

1/2 a mark maybe?

Optical storage mediums such as computer optical discs, also known as compact discs (CD), can physically show digital data as binary code by microscopic ditches on the reading surface of the disc. As binary data is either 1 or 0, having a ditch can represent 1, and not having could represent 0, hence as the laser reads the disk, it will get a reflection of the data by reading whether there is a ditch in channel or not.
