yeah in year 11 its said to be pretty 'borring' but if you are into computers you'll fly through it and get high marks, in year 12 you'll have more fun when you pass the basics but everyone also complains that it scales bad(brings your marks down in hsc); the thing is it does not if you do well in it. The people that generally say it's borring also say that it scales down, why? because they think it's easy, and dont pay attention to the work and get low marks and then they say it scales. If u dont like theory then dont do it, but it is a good subject if you want the marks and are into computers and information stuff like business info systems (may give ideas to your business computer stuff in your future if your interested in that).

If you know anything about computers you will do well in IPT. It's pretty much basic theory combined with stupid situations like some stupid business system or something. It's pretty much a continuation of year 10 computing.

It's really really easy but it does get scaled down. How much I'm not sure.

it's not interesting :):uhhuh:
agreed with Dumdida though, "if your into computers you'll fly through it and get high marks"; i don't really know much about computers, and with an amazingly lack of study, you can get high marks easily, and the bad scaling won't affect you (as much) :p
iamsickofyear12; in the scaling profile its -4.x from what i remember

ipt isn't all about being good with computers cos theres a lot of random social and ethical crap.
it scales badly too - i got 94 as hsc mark and it wasn't included in uai calculations.

SDD is harder if yuor not interested in computing. IPT is really a bludge. When i use to do it i saw it as a relaxing period. its really easy to get 80+ even 90+ marks for exams . all u need is to read the IPT book

btw if u dont like programing then dont do SDD and do IPT . i did SDD and i found that proigrammign is hard even though i have an interest in computing. anywho , if u want a subject thats dead easy do IPT.

this post maybe bias for IPT cuase if yuor intertested in computing alot of the stuff is general knowledge

IPT is fucking gay. Do SDD instead. Theyre both really easy subject, except that with SDD you actually learn something useful.

if you always work with computers most of the stuff yuo learn in ipt is already common knowledge to these people, and beign interested in computing makes IPT more enjoyable then lets say sewing is u hate it.

seriously if yuo think ipt is boring dont do SDD cuase its hard and boring.

IPT is easy if you can memorise the textbook and apply what you know.
