CSU doesn't offer engineering, but it was originally a teaching college so they offer a heap of teaching degrees.

My dad works there :p

But it is true, Engineering is the staple of UNSW.

People should pick a university not for its overall reputation, but the reputation of the specific schools within it.

I could have done communication at UNSW (would have been a lot cheaper), but it has a shit reputation for it and I chose to go to a university that doesn't have an overall great reputation, but does have a School of Communication that is one of the best in Australia.

It all comes down to the industry you're going into and they know what graduates they want and from where.

If you want to do well in engineering, choose UNSW: Faculty of Engineering

If you are desperate, CQU do the first 3 years of Bach of Eng by distance or else they have a 3 year Bach of Eng Technology, finish that then do your "4th year" with someone else to be qualified.
