does it scale well? how much would i have to get in assessments to have my marks scaled up?
i find the preliminary work manageable and have gotten decent marks. do you think extension work in hsc year will be really hard. my teacher said herself, that it gets pretty hard

Yes, it scales well. HSC year Extension work is okay. Not that difficult, but the applications can get quite tricky.

Imo it isn't too difficult but as Shadow said it can sometimes be difficult to know when to apply certain things in different questions. It is not like 2u where you can just "Copy and paste". Although the scaling is not too bad.

Any subject is beneficial to ATAR.

It's the amount of work that you want to put in that really determines how beneficial it actually is.

If you're good at it, and enjoy it then it'll be beneficial.
