okies this is going to sound abit weird
don't know how to explqain it but im ganna give it a shot.

Is it possible say for someone to be OK at school (just above average in his subjects) and then before the actiall HSC exams study really really hard and get a high 90's UAI?

Just curious cause a mate reckons he can,
just trying to get my facts straight?

anyhelp would be appreciated

Depends how "OK" really is.

Typically you'd most likely not be able to get it, i.e. 98+, unless the school candidature all performs just as well as you.

Will depend on how well the students in front of your mate do. If they peform at high 90 UAI level and he does as well in the exam, then it's possible... but, is it likely? Probably not, unless it's one of the better peforming schools in the HSC.

so, if i was to get 70-80 in all my subjects, there is no hope for me to redeem myself and kill the hsc with a uai of above 90? i go to a selective school... so all the kids are pretty smart (stereotyping, i know)
