everyone shut up, he's going to be fine. You'll be fine, OP. Just study like a little bitch from now until the HSC and if you don't get 91, you'll get close to it.
Yea, i wanna do engineering so they have hsc bonus pointsYou can still improve dramatically though-like externals are very important in the HSC.
Does the course you desire 91 for have bonus points or anything?
To be honest, just try hard and see what happens. If all is screwed, go to UWS. UWS is not that bad of a university, it is the population which substantiates this artificial negativity.so is their no possibility for 91+?
I wasnt having a go at him - I was just being realistic.everyone shut up, he's going to be fine. You'll be fine, OP. Just study like a little bitch from now until the HSC and if you don't get 91, you'll get close to it.
It is still possible.so is their no possibility for 91+?
If i study 5hrs everyday efficiently(making notes+revising+doing assessments) on the weekdays, and about 6-8 hrs on the weekend, will it suffice for 91?I wasnt having a go at him - I was just being realistic.
It is still possible.
We all wish we had a straight equation for success, but study is about finding what works for you.If i study 5hrs everyday efficiently(making notes+revising+doing assessments) on the weekdays, and about 6-8 hrs on the weekend, will it suffice for 91?
Again, that's impossible to answer because there are just too many variables to consider. If i study 5hrs everyday efficiently(making notes+revising+doing assessments) on the weekdays, and about 6-8 hrs on the weekend, will it suffice for 91?
He'll need hope in order to do well. I dont think saying stuff like that is going to help him at all :/I wasnt having a go at him - I was just being realistic.
.
it will suffice for burning out, that's for sure. this doesn't seem sustainable. If i study 5hrs everyday efficiently(making notes+revising+doing assessments) on the weekdays, and about 6-8 hrs on the weekend, will it suffice for 91?
my projected ATAR for you:not sure if srs?
A friend of mine got 3 state ranks and 99.95 (I don't think he was featured on TV though lol), and he definitely did not study that much. Maybe 1.5-3 hours a night, 4-6 hours on weekends?nek minnut 3 state ranks, 99.95 ATAR, featured on TV
Are you actually being serious? (the bold) I know kids who do 4-5 hours a day, and that is 40% of my cohort. They will end up getting 90's, probably not even one state rank.A friend of mine got 3 state ranks and 99.95 (I don't think he was featured on TV though lol), and he definitely did not study that much. With 5 hours every day, you should be aiming for at least 6 or 7 state ranks and 1st in at least 3 of those.
LOLThat's bullshit
I studied like a little bitch from trials until the HSC exam for my atar thank you very much. LOL.
You also need to be honest with yourself. I never said it was impossible, I just said that it was hard work and not a light undertaking. When asking for an ATAR estimate, many people say "I've done nothing up until now, if I engage beast mode, how much better can I do?" but the truth is few people suddenly go from doing nothing to turning things around in the middle of the year and improving dramatically. He'll need hope in order to do well. I dont think saying stuff like that is going to help him at all :/
What do they do in those 4-5 hours? Facebook? Are you actually being serious? (the bold) I know kids who do 4-5 hours a day, and that is 40% of my cohort. They will end up getting 90's, probably not even one state rank.
There's this kid that prides himself as being intellectually inclined, got 70's for his half yearlies with studying 4-5 hours per day for the 4-5 weeks preceding the half yearlies.
Arr UNSw engineering, so you would need high 80s then (maybe less if you have EAS)Yea, i wanna do engineering so they have hsc bonus points
Eesh let's not be snobby on UWS. You should realistically consider all unis you can do engineering at.i want a job
It's all individual to what result that would get someone, but I'd say this may be an unrealistic goal for someone that didn't open a book pre half yearles. If i study 5hrs everyday efficiently(making notes+revising+doing assessments) on the weekdays, and about 6-8 hrs on the weekend, will it suffice for 91?
Leave UWS alone!!my projected ATAR for you:
77.75
OPTIONS:
FAILURE (which is otherwise mentioned as UWS)
Disregard the last statement. Get off here and study, rather than contemplating the situation and worsening it for internal self!
