And you are basing this off what exactly...?

'Boredom' is a personal evaluation. Some people like mq and some people don't and same applies for other unis.

Stay on campus costs u heaps? Why don't just rent a room off-campus m8?

It may be boring, may be not. But we (overseas ones) all have our own aims to be here, as long as they can be achieved Oz will be ok for us. We 're not here just for fun (or to get fun)

U can get to the city in 30 or 40 minutes (provided that u arrive at the MQ station in time to catch the right train). A return ticket is around 6 bucks (off-peak return) or try the 288 bus and u will be in front of the Sydney Opera House in approximately 1 hour .

I agree, its depends what you consider boring to be. In my view macquarie has a create campus environment. You will not find it hard to make friends with your room mates if your staying in the new village near the gym and there are always house parties somewhere in the village so get yourself to a few of them.

It's only 30 mins away from the city anyway. I have no idea about how boring it would be as I live at home, but life is what you make of it. Make friends with people in a similar situation to you and you should be fine.
