My ranks from my trials and my trial exam marks are:

Standard English: 62% Position: 6/44
General Maths: 63% Position: 9/47
PD/H/PE: 60% Position: 8/13
Chemistry: 60% Position: 7/15
Biology: 77% Position: 2/17

My school rank is in the 360s from last year.

Also alot of people did bad in the trials at my school, im definatly aiming to get much better then those marks...i hope.

do ranks really make that much big of a difference? Cuz ive worked out my UAI frmo the Einstein calculater from just my scores, and my UAI is very bad. With the marks i got in the trials that is.

Your raw marks (trial marks) mean NOTHING. Its ALL about your ranks (and relative difference between ranks).

Relative difference = marks between ranks.

eg

Rank 1 : 99%
Rank 2: 70%

is different case to

Rank 1: 99%
Rank 2: 98%

The closer the difference, the better off you are.

ahhk, so say if i am ranked for example 3rd out of 20 ppl for each subject, and i get 60, but everyone in the top 10 gets in the 90s and 80s, i wont get the 60 il get in the 90s and 80s? for example that is.

What do you mean by 60,80s and 90s? Internal mark or external mark? I assume you are talking about external marks.

If your internal rank was 3rd with a mark of 60, and in the externals you did badly and got 60 for externals while everyone else in the top 10 got 80s and 90s, your MODERATED INTERNAL MARK would probably be 80s or 90s. Of course you keep your own not-so-good external mark of 60.

But it is the internal mark that is used to calculate the UAI?

Also ive read articles on when students get their results, they use the calculater to work out their UAI, and the calculated UAI is only a little bit off, from the actual UAI. If ranks meant more than you all say, wouldnt the calculated UAI be way off than the actual UAI?
