but ruse papers are usually pretty straightforward... i tried an epping boys 4u paper the other day omg... =P wat a nightmare.
yeah, i asked that question in the 4u forum.:D

a similiar question to this can b found in cssa 2001.

all ruse tests are hard
relatively

you get 90% and u still come last in the grade
i would call that hard

plus exam conditions are much different

I think there's way more competition between ruse students, but the exam conditions are the same as other schools - reading time, closed book etc.
The tough thing is that a 1% difference in marks is equivalent to 20-25 places at ruse. That's what happened in last year's 3u trial. If you got 98%, you came 5th. 97% was 27th or something lol.

Well, relative to other selective school 3U trial papers this yr, i gotta say Ruse paper 2003 was easier... in the sense it does not have any tricky stuff (apart from the encumbrance question that killed a lotta ppl.... and um, that interest question)... probably easy to lose marks for stupid mistakes here and there.

plus ruse people mark harder
one time we were all docked a mark for saying tan^2x=sec^2x - 1
(because thats not the REAL identity, its coz ur SKIPPING lines yadda yadda)

yes... half the grade got docked a mark for that. they won't do that in the hsc, well they??? they better not... it's absurd.

yer but the paper isnt too difficult its the competition that sets it apart..
