It'll usually wear off after the first few weeks or so, once they realise girls don't have cooties!

The first two weeks of uni... you will swear you are in the wrong place. People get dressed up to impress like nobodies business... :/

After that people come to uni in their pajamas.

Interesting question:

Is there an ABSOLUTE minimum dress code?

Yes, i understand the 'We dont care what you wear' but what if you turned up without shoes or a shirt?

My last college kicked people out for wearing sandles! I thought that was abit much.

at uni you can wear sandles...
no shirt is going a bit far, but on a really hot day I reckon you could get away with it outside of class (especially if you're a gurl  )

What's so bad about wearing heels to uni? I find them more comfy even when walking a long way

Ive seen a hippy come to uni, in a poncho, no shoes, and a guitar. He hadn't washed his hair, hadn't cut his beard nothing.

So yeah.

haha, its funny getting dressid up for uni... i did it for my last exam and everyone was like 'wtflolZZZomg!'

but i can seriously conclude this thread. after spending 4/5 days a week at uts last year, i found that there are actually heaps of sexy ladies. it just depends where you are ...

places to be:
- building 6 ( its the design building, duh .... :):):):))
- haymarket building 5 with all the law/business hawties
- i'd assume the new building 4 is gunna be good, they'll all be there to see MIKE(aka sex)

then just generally there are usually hot people walking around different parts + its right in the damn city, walk down the street and there's hot people there if you're really worried ;)

I've seen more than a few people rock up in pyjama pants, sloppy joe and ugg boots (usually accompanied by coffee-in-hand). Those are obviously the on-campus students but you get the idea how laid back it is.

This has probably been said before countless times, but people really don't care what you wear at uni. And if they do, they suck and aren't worth your time anyway. You might care at first, but in time comfort becomes more of a priority.

W00t! Property Economics... Building 6, and maybe a little building 5.

Sigh. Wasn't really going to pay much attention to them away... Might give me an advantage over others if they are distracted. :)

Doesn't have to be on a girl - but if thats the best way to bring it in, by all means.

Got my own thanks.

You could bring a ball... I'll sit in the corner and roll it about.

- I'm easily amused.

For some reason I thought that there were a lot of gronks at uts, like, a lot of tree huggers, adopt/sponsor-a-plant/cat/human people. That was my impression when I visited uts a few times. I blame it on the lack of trees and grass (weed?) there.

Auuuuurrrggh.... Tree-Huggers? Sponsor-My-Kid'ers? Cat people!?

Some of my most hated enemies. I was hoping due the metalitic scenery and enclosed atmosphere - that there would be a minimum of low-lifes.

... I might need to transfer ...

While we are on the topic of hated induhviduals:

Whats the 'Emo' population of UTS like? I hate them with a passion.

Should i expect a need to bring my pocket sized "Emo Smiter of Knuckle Duster Awesomeness" ? Or should i fear the worst - and throw on my back, the "Infernal Hell-fire Cannon of Emo Redempting Purification" ?

I suppose it will be best to stick on the safe side.

On Enrolment Day, You guys will be able to identify me as the kid patroling the streets in my personalised Mech-Suit: 'E M O - H U N T E R 0 1'

Beware.
