Locking Files On A Computer (1 Viewer)

Hi, i was wondering if anybody might be able to give me a tutorial in how to set a file on my computer up so as you cannot open or read what is in the file or folder without a password?

Cant do it in XP from what im aware. Wondered the same thing before.

encrypt it with winrar :p

but the file can still be deleted though

If you are serious about keeping files from others you might want to have a look at

www.gnupg.org (this one is a bit annoying since you might have to read a bit)

or other encryption software.

What are you trying to encrypt? If we know the type of files/content, I can better offer a solution. And don't tell me it's porn, cause nobody is dumb enough to download it with streaming movies now.
