Givn a>1, sketch the curve y=lnx, 1<= x <=a and find the area enclosed by the curve and the lines y = 0, x = a

The region enclosed by the curve and the lines x = 0, y = lna and y=0 is rotated about the Y axis to form a solid of revolution. Find its volume

can some1 write the answer out in full solutions? =(

For your volume answer, when you integrate e<sup>2y</sup>, that should yield 1/2e<sup>2y</sup>.

So the final answer should be Pi/2[a<sup>2</sup> - 1]

yeh sorry. its just annoying typing maths problems up that i make heaps of mistakes
