whats the lowest uai to enter into medicine at unsw and usyd? is it still 99.95?

i read the uac book and it says a minimium of 95 is required to enter medicine at unsw (plus interviews, umat)
does this mean the cut-off is 95?

For UNSW the minimum UAI for consideration is 95. However, on average the people who get accepted usually have a UAI higher than that.
For UWS medicine it was 92 to be considered.

the higher your uai is the better chance you have of being accepted yes. also if you go really well in umat that helps too.

dfee lowers the entry requirement. because unis like cashed up students.

usyd is like the hardest one to get into. because there are so very few spots.

sydney has no spots. its prelim entry into their post graduate degree. i..e you have an guareteed spot after you graduate in your undergraduate degree.

To go straight into Usyd medicine from school (in a combined degree) you need a minimum of 99.95. So only about 40 people in the state are even eligible each year. Most people wanting to do Sydney med do it via the graduate route.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Only if you go straight in, you do extra units about communication or something during your first degree? God knows.

Some absurd amount. Something like $40000 a year for the med component.

Last year someone got into Monash with 87.5.... but I bet there was a good reason behind it.

I have a close friend who got in with 89 BUT she had been given an "extra" 10 points because her brother had died of cancer during year 12, its amazing she got 89 at all.

But its medicine, so you've still got to do well in the UMAT and an interview against some of the smartest, intelligent people in Australia... not easy.
