PS Xayma, how did you do the Pi and square root symbols?????????///
A bit late but:
They are html codes:
They follow the format &name; where name=pi or radic, note that in the standard font pi= π, where as if you can be bothered to do the vB font change to times new roman you get
π
Umm theres a list of common maths ones in the Maths Ext 2 forum under notation.

Its easy stuff once you know how you. Draw a triangle in the first quadrant, with θ the angle between the hypotenuse (R) and the x-axis.
Therefore y is positive, x is positive, R is always positive.
tan θ= y/x
sin θ= y/R
cos θ= x/R
In the second quadrant with a similar triangle,
x is negative, therefore from above tan θ will be negative, and cos θ will be negative.
In the third quadrant,
both are negative therefore only tan θ is positive (negative divided by negative)
In the fourth only y is negative therefore tan θ and sin θ are both negative. (thats where ASTC comes from which trig value is positive in which quadrant)
You just have to remember to only add subtract angles from 180o and 360o.
