Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone knew what a raw HSC exam mark of 70% (84/120) would scale to.

For 2 unit? Umm, most likely a high band 4 to a mid band 5.

hey there...well what i've personally heard from board of studies hsc markers is that a raw mark of 75% will scale to approximately a band 6

Wow, cool! How did you manage to speak to a BOS marker? Is it one of your teachers?

From when Lazaras and others got their raw marks we have the following information.

2001 - 96-97/120 = 90
2003 - 73/120 = 82
2004 - 118/120 = 99
101/120 = 93

From those you'd think that 84/120 would be mid to high band five most years.
