there is no reason you can't get a high uai if not doing maths is your only worry. i know at least two with 99+ uai with no maths so you wont be disadvantaged there. not doing maths can limit your choices for uni though, but you're probably not going into a maths related field? (maths, science, engineering?)

not doing maths doesn't stop you getting into any business degrees. if you're worried about maths though (they do have introductory maths/stats as part of any business courses) you can always do bridging courses

for most commerce and business courses, mathematics i.e. 2u maths is desired as assumed knowledge. so if u dont ahve that ability, you'll need to get it, most likely through a bridging course. not doing maths doesnt mean your hsc is gonna be bad, but many courses require a certain degree of maths, so thats a disadvantage i suppose =/

Or if you can't be bothered to follow any of the above links, in short, the answer is NO.

In 2006, for example, a girl at my school did no maths, no science and achieved a UAI of 100.

There are generally little courses with prerequisites these days, although some courses have mathematics as assumed knowledge. If you are concerned, consider bridding courses.

you can still get a good UAI. it probably wont limit your uni courses, as now most dont have it as a prerequisite. only could be an issue if its a choice between you and another student, both of same standard, but the other does maths. he may get chosen for the course ahead of you.
