I'm looking at courses for semester 2 and would like to get an overview of these subjects. I am doing Civil Engineering. For MATS1101 and CHEM1011, I will be choosing the easier option. Thank you!

CHEM1011 is recommended if you've done HSC chemistry - it should be a walk in the park. But if you haven't done chemistry before then....

You pretty much do chemistry again - because MATS has a materials component and a separate chemistry component. You pretty much do the same chemistry labs as CHEM1011 people.
