just had a q....which is harder ---> medical science or advanced science ??

Advanced Science majoring in what exactly?

Medical Science is essentially equivalent to a BSc (Biomedical Science), but just has a better name. The 'hardness' of the course generally comes down to what you're good at/interested in.

Of course, if the 'Advanced' degree requires any form of acceleration, it is bound to be harder from the outset from sheer workload.

i agreemMedSci is basicly a science degree, Advanced sci is just that, science..

MedScience = General BScience without a specific major (itself should be a major instead).

Advanced Science is harder.

I dissagree, im doing MedSci(pathology) we do have majors its just that medsci is a specific science degree, we concentrate on the science of medicine.

Neither is harder, they just have different subject requirements.

Ive got BMedSci as my first preference at UNSW.

Good to hear! At UNSW, neither is harder. Both are science degrees. If majoring in the same specialisation, you do exactly the same course. In both degree you have the option to do Advanced courses.

The Macqaurie University the Medical Science degree is broad depending on what units/subjects your choose, though there is no specific major -- biomedical, psychomedical, medical chem, are all relatively the same but concentrate on specific areas of science.

Adv Science students often do advance science units that are only offered to students enrolled into that course. Most students i know have to complete additional credit points (extra subject) per semester.
