Bachelor of medical science (BMedSci) is more of a science/research based degree, and graduates cannot practice medicine. If they wanted to later on, they would have to complete an AMC accredited medicine degree (such as MBBS, MD etc...)
As far as I know there are no extra considerations given to graduates of BMedSci over other undergrad degrees when applying for med school, and they will likely have to start the course from the beginning (except lateral entry at UNSW)
