hey guys do u think 19/25 is a crap mark?

it was pretty much one of the 'higher' ancient marks we got.... whats up with that? :S i mean...we couldn't have been that crap could we?

lol i'd be quite happy with that mark.. but like they say tehre's always room for improvement which is true ^.-

I got my maths ext back today, only 76% :(.

So lets see thats
4 1sts,
1 2nd and
1 in the top 10.

Hmm actually I didnt do too bad.

I came close to the top in English,
Only came 1/2 mark behind 1st in Physics
Came 1st by 15% of the test in Chem
Came 1st by 6 marks in Maths
Came 1st by >25% of the test in Engineering Studies
Came 1st by >25% of the test in Maths Ext (2nd didnt even get >50%)

maths ext 2 - 92% 1st
maths ext 1 - 99% 1st
physics - 86% 1st

still waiting on chem and english

we don't have eng half yearlies....didn't bother working out persentages

legal: 52/60 - 1st
eco: 48.5/60 (was hoping to get better) - don't know the ranking
mod. hist: 46/50 1st
anc. hist: 35/45 1st
maths: so crap it's too pitiful to reveal

all i can say is they're okay...and there's room for improvement

Join the club, i also got 76% for 3 unit ;) I have all my exams back except english

3u maths - 76% 5th
Bio - 80% 2nd
Physics - 90% 2nd
Chemistry - 97% 1st
2u maths - 98% 1st

I really need to work on bio since 3u doesn't have to count for me

Actually my marks werent that good mainly around the 80% mark except for maths which was 95%ish.

The rest of the course just went really poor.

cool :) well remember that difficulty in half yearly exams will differ across schools and that the most important thing at this stage are ranks! :) BTW, which school do you go to?

My marks so far...

Mathematics - 57% rank 10th

Adv. English - 85% rank 3rd

Ext. English - 52%

SoR - 94% rank 1st

Are they ok- ish results?

depends on your definition of 'ok' ..alot of ppl would be very dissapointed w/ marks in the 50% range

and then others would be glad to have passed. As i mentioned above, ranks are top priority atm. To me, these marks look fine, especially SoR and English (adv.) Keep up the good work

Thanku so much. I worked really hard. So i'm pleased. A little disappointed with ext.eng tho...but the whole class got very low (teacher was furious)... and maths, i've got no idea what happened!

all I can say is, thank god for scaling!!!

with Scaled marks I got 90 for 3u maths, 86 for 4u
non scaled i failed physics (like, 46% or something), 65 for chem, 55ish for adv eng, but 100 for accounting :) (TVET) i like accounting, only 20% of total hsc mark to go this year cause we did the exam last year. I'm lookin at at least a 98
