Hey all sorry if this thread has been done before or if its in the wrong section :x

So pretty much I went to a bunch of Uni's open days last year (whilst in year 11) looking to pursue Bioengineering but pretty much everywhere I went lectures said its almost impossible to get a job here in australia (and the fact that it pays like a science research job isn't great either)
So after that I decided that I liked the atmosphere at UNSW the best as everybody is very friendly. Ive been quite attracted to Minning Engineering due to its excellent employment aspects and I quite like the desert country of north west WA.

Anyway my question is Im doing Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Adv. English but only 2 unit maths. Ive been told that with a bridging course and hard work I should be able to coupe with the math workload. I'll get band 6's in all subject other then english which will be around band 4/5. My question is: Is there anything additional I should focus on to get an eairly start for the workload I will be faced with next year?

Reagards in Advance.

Don't worry about uni work until you're in uni. geez kids these days are too keen.

But looking over 3 and 4 unit maths would defs help

Mining Engg is where the money is. But you need to beef up on yr maths after you complete your HSC. 2U is not enough unless you have untapped maths talent. I don't know how good a bridging course is. Else self-study(easier said than done) or get help (paid or otherwise). I suppose Mining Engg would require some knowledge of Geology - so yr Chem, Physics & Bio would be helpful.
