I thought I'd fill in this list too...

What do you guys think make up a good phone?
1. Good voice quality- should be able to hear clear and they should be able to hear you.
2. Good reception- no point having a phone if it can't connect to the network
3. Easy to use/Stable interface- after having several "tech" phones with dodgy software (ie. constantly jams, resets, etc..) I appreciate the Samsung's simple yet stable interface. This also includes an easy to use interface for dialing phone numbers, speed dials, sending SMS's, etc..
4. Easy to read screen- I'd rather have a black/white screen than one of those cheap colour screens like Nokia started using on their first batch of colour phones which were damn hard to read in the sun...
5. Loud ringtones- I also hate soft polyphonics. They are damn hard to hear. I prefer the old LOUD SHRILL ringtones which always sounded clear. Vibration also doesn't hurt.
6. Silent mode- self explanatory. Believe it or not- but not every phone has ring and vibrate at the same time! Unbelievable...
I also like features such as, synchronisation with PC so I can connect my phonebook and calendar to my PC, and I also quite like having a camera on hand.. but these are just bonuses.
See previous post. Currently am using the Samsung d600 for Optus, 7610 for Voda (main phone), 6100 for Telstra, 9210 for Digi (Malaysia) and w800i for Voda (my sister's old sim).
