All of this stuff was explained to you if not at your schools (and most schools at least tried to explain it) then certainly in the various BoS and UAC publications you've received over the last two years. You think that your HSC marks or your UAI were important - they aren't nearly as important as you understanding how they would be calculated; something which was fully explained to all of you in advance (repeatedly).
So those of you who are crying "foul", "we weren't told", "we didn't understand", and relying on that in order to get into uni, think about how THAT looks to the universities - if two full years of very public explanations of how all this would work wasn't enough for you to "get it", then how on earth are you equipped to undertake and understand the complexities of undertaking a degree course. Why do you only care about the "fine print" now?
