ok .. this topic has appeared plenty of times in hte hsc forums ... but hey, how does one stay motivated in uni with all these distractions around u? any tips?

dunno, i enjoy the stuff i do so i guess i'l stay interested for some time to come

its not abt enjoying mate. i'd rather go to the arcade than to listen to the discrete lecturer saying HAUN !!
but ya, i rekon its been only a wk n we shouldnt worry too much .......

it's in our best interesting to do our best at uni. we're paying (or will eventually be paying) big fees off, and some are travelling very far just to go to uni. if we can't be bothered trying, why bother going to uni.

and the fun distractions such as the arcades are there to use in our breaks

either that or suffer from your enemies' pain....

i bet within 5 weeks i will have stopped going to all lectures!

Arh! Meet a group of online friends doing your course who start and finish their tutorial homework that they are given on the day!

Alternately, motivation could come from knowing that more than half the people in your lecture theatre aren't going to be there in another two years as they will drop like flies!

Motivation wise don't despair,
the most important thing is not to fall into depression by staying ahead of your work, (e.g, finish your tut homework on the day it is given)
also, motivation can come from competition......
