i am in my first year at mq and wanting to transfer to unsw
atm i am doing b arts/commerce and hope to transfer to unsw bcom
waht kind of gpa would i need to transfer.

Transfers to UNSW commerce generally require a distinction average which is an average mark of 75 across your unit of studies.

ah alright then if i get a gpa of 3/4 would i still have a chance?

A distinction average at MQ is 4/4 GPA (because they count HDs as Ds). UAC looks at your marks not your GPA so just aim for an average mark of 75 across your subjects like previously mentioned.
