Hey Guys!

Im about to start the 2nd semester of my 2nd year and im having some problems deciding on an elective.

My degree is Bcom - Professional Accounting and these are my planned units for 2010

SEM 1 2010

BUSL301 C 3 credit points
ACCG301 C 3
ACCG253 C 3
BBA102 C 3

SEM 2 2010

BUSL320 C 3
ACCG224 C 3
ACCG308 C 3
ACST201? Elective 3 credit points

By i am not sure whether i shud take ACST201(relatively easy) as my last elective or take a 300 level ACCG unit or even a 300 level BUSL unit.

Could you guys please advice me on this matter and also recommend any interesting and useful ACCG unit?

Cheers!

Im gonna guess 308=310 and accg301= typo for accg201?

I did busl320 and accg310 last semester..probably not a good idea unless you like pain.

As for electives.. choose a cruisey marketing one.. Mktg203 i heard is nice.

Yea 301 is 201 and 308 is 310,however they changed the codes for these units in the new curriculum for 2010. There are major changes in all degrees this year.

So you would recommend mktg203 instead of acst201?

Cheers

acst201 is pretty easy.. but i think last time the acst and accg exams are on the same day. More than likely itll be the same.

mktg203 is meant to be the hardest mktg 200 lvl at the uni, well thats what she told us. i still got a C without going to any lectures etc. mktg207 is a pretty easy D

acst201 is pretty much the same as 101 tbh

I thought it was the other way around (it was for me anyway). 207 (Services) has dryish subject matter whereas Consumer Behaviour (203) was a breeze. IMC (which I notice is back to 200 level under the new changes) is interesting. If you want to understand marketing applications without going into too much marketing theory, that would be my recommendation to you.

I dont think you can actually do accg308 without doing 224.. if im not mistaken 224 is one of the prerequisites.. tbh i hate mktg units so if i were u, id choose acst201..
