I have very bent inwards pinkies (Clinodactyly) on both hands so make it very difficult for me to hand write especially in exam conditions, as a result I write very slowly. I have tried holding a pen with the 'proper' grip but its impossible to hold for more then a minute or two. Any advice on different pen grips, pens or other options that you have heard of which may help alleviate the pain/allow me to be able to write faster?

In your honest opinion do you think it would be possible for me to get a writer for the HSC or should I just continue practicing writing when I get the chance?

I have included a picture showing my pinkie finger as straight as it can go...

Also thank you in advance for any help /advice

You probably can.

You could always go to your GP and ask for a letter from him stating the condition etc.

uhh get the required information from your school in terms of what you need to do to apply for special provisions (will need things like medical certificates/written report on the condition from a specialist stating exactly how it impacts you, and some kind of proof that using either a writer or computer would thus make things fair - but not give you an advantage).
